Is chiropractic safe?
Chiropractic care is a natural approach to better health and is very safe. Chiropractic care uses an approach to health that avoids the use of surgical procedures and drugs. In fact, studies show chiropractic treatment to be up to six times safer than taking an aspirin.
How long until I feel better?
In general, we expect to see solid improvements in the first two weeks of care. At Parliament Chiropractic, we pride ourselves in delivering results as quickly as possible and promptly referring patients who are not responding optimally.
Is chiropractic care right for me?
If you want to use a natural approach to health care that focuses on treating the cause of physical problems, rather than masking the symptoms with medications or restricting activities, then chiropractic care is right for you. Still not sure? We offer a free consultation so that you can sit down with a doctor and discuss the treatment options for your condition.
Is chiropractic care the same as massage?
No. Chiropractic care deals with the health of the spine, nervous system, and overall body structure. Massage deals with muscle tension, blood circulation, and body fluid drainage. Massage therapy can enhance the benefits of your chiropractic treatment. We do offer massage therapy at our location.
Can I see both a chiropractor and massage therapist during the same visit?
Yes, and you can do both at our location. The two can be combined for even greater results and we have 5 massage therapists who offer multiple techniques.
Is chiropractic care the same for everyone?
No. Each patient is unique with different needs and goals. We will review your health history with you as well as your symptoms. We will then develop a plan that is tailored to your needs. For more information on the different stages of health, visit the Phases of Recovery page
Do I have to keep going forever?
No, of course not. We will repeatedly let our patients know we are comfortable being their chiropractor at whatever capacity they desire. We have patients who choose to do monthly maintenance care and others who come to see us when they break down and are in pain. We will always recommend what we feel is best for our patients, but after that, it is completely up to them to do as they see fit.
Can I see a chiropractor if I have had back or neck surgery?
Yes. In fact, after surgery, it is even more important to maintain your spinal health. We will provide a thorough examination on your first visit and review the details of any surgery you may have had. If appropriate, we will then proceed with treatment that is both safe and effective.
